Ixchel is a plant medicine specialist, Bwiti initiate, and founder of The Ixchel Way. She is devoted to guiding individuals through deep healing and transformation using sacred earth medicines within safe, ceremonial containers. Her work bridges indigenous wisdom and Western therapeutic practices, with a strong emphasis on preparation, integration, and trauma-informed care.
With years of experience facilitating retreats and ceremonies, Ixchel has supported clients in navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, addiction, and chronic illness—including conditions such as MS and Parkinson’s—through medicines such as psilocybin, Syrian rue, kambo, iboga, and rapéh. Her path has taken her around the world, apprenticing with wisdom keepers and elders across traditions, and completing training in the Ecology of Clinical Shamanism.
Ixchel is known for her grounded, compassionate presence and her ability to meet each person exactly where they are. Her ceremonial work opens portals for joy, clarity, and freedom—supporting lasting shifts in perspective and empowering individuals to reclaim their truth.
She currently serves as Head of Communications at ETÉREO Center for Truth, a luxury medicine and wellness retreat center in development outside Todos Santos, Mexico, where she leads stakeholder engagement and strategic positioning in the psychedelic space. Ixchel holds degrees from Harvard and Stanford, and brings a unique synthesis of intellectual rigor, spiritual depth, and integrative healing to every space she holds.

"I’m new to psychedelic medicine. I would have been very nervous to try rapéh with anyone else. Ixchel provided a very comfortable and safe setting in which to have my first experience. She walked me through the possible challenges I might face, and I was given to understand that it was to be MY experience, free of judgment and preconceptions. I stepped into an awareness of my place in the universe, completely free of the mundane. It was a profound experience and to Ixchel I am grateful."
